In this episode titled "Child's Play," stager Matthew Finlason’s skills are put to the test when he faces a new challenge in his career - staging a nursery that is occupied by an 18-month-old toddler. It is one of several hurdles he must overcome to enhance a family home on a limited budget. With the help of stager-in-training Rukiya, Matthew must come up with some kid-friendly and creative ideas to achieve an impressive transformation that will not break the bank, but will help sell the house.Five tips for staging a nursery on a budget include: 1 - Use removable wall stickers to create a dramatic motif on a budget. 2 - Pick gender neutral colors for the walls like sage green.3 - Buy or rent convertible furniture (i.e. a crib that turns into a twin bed) which can bridge the age gap.4 - Opt for simple over cute.5 - Keep the room clutter free by storing books and toys in inexpensive baskets or boxes.
