The Montrose Sports and Community Hall of Fame is extremely proud to announce 
its 2009 class that consists of two over-achievers from the class of 1972, a MI Coaches Hall of Famer and two exceptional athletes. This class of inductees will travel from Idaho, Florida and Texas to attend the Induction Banquet on October 10, 2009. Tickets will be on sale at the Montrose School's Administration Office in September, 2009.Dan Lea - Community Service
Dan Lea is recipient of the 2009 Community Service Award in recognition of his dedication to capturing thousands of captivating moments in story and picture about the people of Montrose. Dan covered local news and sporting events for 35 years in Montrose and the surrounding communities, before retiring from the Tri-County Citizen in June of 2007. He witnessed and recorded incredible events, in all types of weather, that marked the community's history
