NEW YORK, NY May 05, 2009 —The energy of New York City has always provided musicians with fuel for performance. But one thing the city doesn't have a lot of is space. As part of WNYC’s continuing Jazz Loft Project, WNYC’s Sara Fishko looks at how players 50 years ago worked within the limits of New York real estate.
This Thursday, vibraphonist Teddy Charles, bassist Bill Crow, drummer Ron Free, and pianist Dick Katz, all regulars at the jazz loft, will reunite in the Greene Space to perform together for the first time in decades
